Most of Africa needs gas to support socio-economic development, enable industrialisation, and pave the way
for the continent's just energy transition. However, the availability of accurate and updated data on
African gas markets remain a significant challenge for stakeholders and investors.
In response, Hawilti and the African Development Bank (AfDB) have initiated the creation of an African

covering the entire value-chain;
2. Launch a dedicated online platform (GasForAfrica.org) with informative data visualization, market
trends analysis, country profiles, detailed gas infrastructure maps, and focus on key companies, players
and investors across the value-chain;

light on all markets, especially in sub-Saharan Africa;
